Taki 183 is regarded as one of the first, if not the first graffiti artist. Lauded as a pioneer and hero in the graff world from his feature in Henry Chalfon't Style Wars, Taki was the first writer to have a story about him appear in the New York Times way back in 1971. Most recently, his very own website was launched featuring the artist’s bio, a photo gallery of his work, as well as an online shop offering limited edition, signed screenprints.
